didn't reach me in the way i hoped it would 💔 loooove florence pugh and andrew garfield but despite the brilliant acting, i just wasn't invested in the story, and my mind kept wandering to other things. the problem here is the script. it feels messy and thoughtless. its half hearted attempt to extract a deep emotional reaction didn't work on me and i ended up leaving after an hour - i wasn't willing to sit with the boredom!!

i instantly fell in love with 'Anora' - sexy, exhilarating and emotional, it borders on flawless. this film is truly special, it feels like the cinematic equivalent to a great high or fireworks. mikey madison delivers a powerhouse performance as Ani. she's fiery and intense yet adorable and sympathetic. i loved watching her put all those pathetic men in their place (lol).
