RadReviewz’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m conflicted.
It’s been awhile since I’ve felt this way.
It starts off funny just how I’d expect, the first 3 minutes I’m pumped.
When the opening credits roll I have an issue with the song selection.
I’m sure some people are gonna love, but it didn’t do it for me.
Even tho the first act gets stronger it honestly wasn’t as funny as the first 2.
The other thing is that it felt very uneven throughout, you can tell that they added 2 writers which seems unnecessary.
I don’t hate Shawn Levy like so many other people, but I can’t help but think this movie would’ve been better with a different director.
Plus, he’s the fifth credited writer on the goddamn screenplay lol.
That shits too extra.
The cameos are fire AF.
I wanna be vague so that anyone who hasn’t seen it yet can read this.
The cameos and the villain are really good.
The bottom line is that I’m glad I saw it at the cinema and I enjoyed it.
I’m also happy I didn’t pay top dollar to see it in Imax or 3D cuz part of me is disappointed.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were goin hella dummy in the best way.
For me it doesn’t beat Logan or the previous Deadpool entries.
If you’re an MCU fan it’s definitely worth it to go see it and make sure you stay, cuz the end credits scene is hilarious.
