Hard to believe I’ve only seen this once.
The production design is phenomenal.
Steven Spielberg knows how to make his films aesthetically pleasing.
My biggest problem is the first half which needed more time to develop.
Imo the mom isn’t believable enough to prove the love she says she has.
When the second act starts tho is when it really kicks into gear.
The flesh fair sequence is gnarly.
They built some radical sets and 23 years later it still looks awesome.
Hailey Joel Osmont and Jude Law both deserve more credit imo.
Not only are their performances great, but the makeup is creepy in a good way.
It’s a sad, terrifying and beautiful story that gives you all the feels.
That’s crazy he went b2b with this and Minority Report.
Disappointed in myself for only seeing this once in my lifetime.
Will rewatch again soon.
It should’ve been rated R.
The adult themes were hindered by the pg-13 rating.
When a male gigalo is a main character just lean into the mature side.
All in all it’s a fantastic story and I love it.
