This was a lot of fun with this casual throwback to the 80’s with a modern heightened awareness that pulls in a lot of appeal with these two main characters that are obviously flawed but give an equally uncomfortable yet somewhat casual portrayal of horn dog friends trying to get their crushes attention. I do feel bad for Hazel in this and do find that the extra characters are not fully flushed but they do get some sun to shine and the last football climax reminded me of the football sequence in “The Wanderers” with a modern flair. I had an enjoyable time with this film playing with and sarcastically jabbing at tropes. Worthy of watching and has a decent running time and a solid score. Bottoms up. 😬
