And again, the animation is absolutely gorgeous and at times it gets close to real world realistic, which is incredible work. But again, the story is almost completely absent to non-existent. Just a bunch of random wicked-looking badasses kicking butt and killing and killing and killing and amping up the adrenaline-inducing action.
But that's all there is.

I've at least heard of this videogame. Apparently this is a prequel of sorts, telling how it got started. (At least that's what I've read.) It's basically the birth of robot A.I. getting angry at being misused by humans. And the war is on!
So... like 2028 for us in "real life", I'm guessing.
