Lou (rhymes with wow!)’s review published on Letterboxd:
Came home from my bi-weekly Saturday morning shift to find the Arrow (Academy) releases of The Long Goodbye and Takashi Miike's Black Society trilogy on my doormat.
So despite having seen this at least a dozen times, I decided to put it on, and let the Marlowe absurdities wash over me. It's always a good watch. Maybe my favourite Altman? I haven't seen Nashville yet.
The blu-ray has some great extras. I watched the David Thompson interview where he talks (among other things) about Altman's stance on Hollywood and the way he mixes actors and non actors in his movies.
Good stuff.
