I included Patrick Tam's My Heart is that Eternal Rose on last year's list of my favourite first-time watches, and there is no doubt in my mind that his Nomad will be included on this year's list. What an exceptional movie. It is further proof that Tam is one the best filmmakers emerging out of Hong Kong's initial New Wave period. An absolutely gorgeous piece of cinema. Wonderful from start to finish.
