This film is fun, but it also kinda squanders its premise by not using the environment effectively. Antonio Banderas was great as Eddie Deacon, a former Army captain working the night shift at a mall. He plays the character as a very convincing badass that still has enough humanity to make him feel realistic enough. Ben Kingsley was good as Charlie, a contractor after a key witness. He is a very menacing villain and charismatic as always. The original musical score from FM Le Sieur was pretty blood pumping and fun. The action was very well done, even if I wished there was more.::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::This is a pretty fun action film from Millenium Films. They really are becoming the modern day go to for indie action films that outdo Hollywood big budget films and I'm so happy for it. While this film is not action packed, I think it still made for a pretty lean 90 minutes of action fun. If I have any complaints, the little girl played by Katherine de la Rocha was a bit annoying and didn't act very well and that the film didn't utilize the premise to its advantage. I was waiting for them to use the different mall stores in interesting and unique ways, but it was mostly just a kinda wasted gimmick. Also, I can say that Cung Le and Ben Kingsley were not fully utilized as well since Kingsley is a world class actor and Cung Le is a talented mixed martial artist. Otherwise, it's still a worthwhile action film due to its pretty great cinematography, fun musical score, convincing lead and the action itself. I give the film a 4/5 stars.::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::This film comes to us from Alain Desrochers, director of Nitro (2007), Nitro Rush (2016) and Bon Cop, Bad Cop 2 (2017). The film was made for $15 million.
