This film comes to us from director Patrick Lussier, director of Dracula 2000, My Bloody Valentine, and Trick. This film was made on a budget of of $45-50 million dollars. So, what did I think of Drive Angry? I think this is one of the most unique, fun, insane, over-the-top, and ridiculous action films of all time, and I absolutely loved it. Nicholas Cage, Amber Heard, Billy Burke, and William Fichtner give amazingly crazy performances (in the best of ways.) The action was varied and nicely brutal, including a shootout while the main character is having sex. I mean, you don’t see that every day! I also enjoyed Nicholas Cage and Amber Heard’s relationship in this movie. I love the Grindhouse throwback style of this movie. This film also isn’t only insane, but it obviously gives the characters motives, instead of just making them crazy. I hope that because of this review, more people will see this film. I’m giving it a 5/5 star review with a high recommend.
