A revelation in cinema.

Kiki's Delivery Service 1989
This movie is simply charming. A classic Miyazaki film that instantly transports you to another world that you will never want to leave.

Teen Witch 1989
I watched this film for a Gender/Women's Studies class that focuses on witch and princess stories. From the perspective of the class, this movie was very telling in stereotypical gender roles and the representation of witches in their most feminine form.
This movie is so painfully 80's that it made me wince a few times during the unnecessarily long run time, yet this movie possesses a certain charm that includes tons of big hair, a love interest that looks strangely…

My Life in Pink 1997
I watched this film in a Gender and Women's Studies class. I found it to be very charming, what with the poor special effects and pastel coloring, but also a very telling tale that lasts through generations when it comes to gender identity. Yes, it took its liberties in what it really is like to question your identity, but it did so in a way that was very easily understandable to most audiences, and for that I praise it.

Christopher Robin 2018
CUDDLY. And tear-jerking, but in a good sort of way. Not the kind of way you would expect from a movie about an old Christopher Robin.

The Cat in the Hat 2003
This movie is absolutely terrible, but I can't stop watching it. It's one of those movies that you have to watch at least 3 times a year just because it makes you feel good. However, Mike Meyers dressed up as the Cat in the Hat makes me just feel hopeless no matter what. No amount of squealing thing 1 and thing 2's could distract me from the monstrosity that is the cat costume. There's also something super untasteful about Alec…

Doctor Sleep 2019
As an avid Shining fan, this movie tickled my itch for new content but did not impress me with the storyline. I did enjoy the throwbacks and the reoccurrence of familiar scenes.

Toy Story 4 2019
I was Buzz Lightyear growing up. This movie made me SOB like a little baby and I can cry on demand thinking about it. So.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 1977
Winnie the Pooh is the most beautiful, charming, wholesome and heart-hugging film you will ever have the privilege to watch. It is the perfect film for all occasions whether it's raining outside and you're cuddled up with a cup of cocoa or you're having a tough day and need a pick me up and a warm cuddly pooh hug. By far the best work of Walt Disney.
