Has the look and feel of a television miniseries procedural but that would have had more character development. Justin Kurzel provides a down to earth feel but his characters are just tropes going through the motions of the genre.

I love a meat and potatoes throwback crime thriller and this delivers the goods. Stached Jude Law hunting Nazis while looking constantly on the brink of collapse is something I could watch for hours. It’s also a real bummer which I can appreciate. Wasn’t expecting Marc Maron to be part of one of the most affecting scenes of violence in a film I saw this year, but here we are.
