Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer

You can’t get to do the sin and then expect everyone else to feel sorry for you when there are consequences.

As engrossing and brilliant as a character study of this caliber should be. Christopher Nolan has found just the right balance between viciously overwhelming and relentlessly riveting in the towering achievement that is Oppenheimer, his best film to date. Structurally genius and astonishing. An exceedingly cinematic experience with immaculate sound design and particularly brilliant dialogue. As for performances go, you won’t get better work from these actors than this. Basically a superb two-hander between Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. with an array of vital supporting turns from the rest of the cast. Oscars for everyone involved in the creation of this. For everyone. This was riveting and I will watch it again. I can guarantee the ending of this film will stick with me for months.

Amateurs chase the sun and get eaten. Power stays in the shadows.
