What an unusual film to kick off the new year, but I just wanted to feel something.
I had a good cry, for sure, but it didn't resonate nor leave something to me as I expected. I personally struggle to find a connection with the characters, which I think are strangely underwritten, and the juggled plot device doesn't help with that either. Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield are still exceptional. Happy New Year everyone and happy birthday to Ella, I guess.
