sad. firmly patriarchal. the plot relies on the pursuit of a woman. not much dynamicism in characterization. visually the film holds the hand of its viewers a bit much. jenny slate was fun as always. i was excited for justin baldoni on screen again, and though he's always easy on the eyes I was not enthralled by his performance. and by god they made lily blossom bloom a florist
