Something is happening… no one around here knows what. Nature is being weird, the animals are being weird. And meanwhile, the government and military are full swing.
It is this setting that makes for a great exploration of our mysterious world. The film conveys our societal shackles, as well as our confusion with nature and our mystical experiences.
I love the unansweredness, and one character even quotes “we don’t know our own water.”

One of the closing lines of the movie says that: (paraphrased) “we should appreciate the destination rather than the journey.”
Funny, such an unusual concept. A total flip of the usual wisdom: appreciate the journey, not the destination.
I realize that much of the time, when we walk through galleries and exhibitions, we are appreciating the destination. The artist’s product, with less regard to their lives and journeys that created the work.
