Yi Yi

Yi Yi

One of the most magical films I've ever seen. It's really hard to put into words the emotions I felt while I was watching. Yi Yi covers so many things, but I think it's a film all about the little moments in life, and how powerful they can be. Every time we walk down a street, every conversation we have, every heartbreak, every fight, and every celebration has a purpose. There's so much life behind us and ahead of us, and we never really know what it will hold. To try and figure that out is an exercise in futility, so it's better to just enjoy each moment as they come.

Yang Yang says that we only see half the truth at a time, and I think that's ok. We don't always need the full picture, but it's nice when we have people we care about that can show us.
