Incredible and atmospheric. Horrifying and melancholy. In a way, a well-done metaphor of how women are told to find their sexual appetites shameful and are often haunted by them. In the same vein, how men often become possessive and obsessive with women they’ve had sexual encounters with. One of the best gothic films of our time.
