The movie doesn't reinvent the wheel but it is very sincere. That last act was too much. I bawled.
I appreciate the film showing what it is to be a caregiver and what it is to have an ill sibling and all the complexity involved. On top of that, there's a fraught mother-daughter relationship that makes it so much more heartbreaking.
I also liked the friend group and how the movie doesn't fall into any cliche teen tropes. I was afraid that Doris would get bullied or made fun of.
