This is the first movie I've seen from this franchise so I can't compare it to anything.

I do like the concept of focusing on a terminally ill person in an apocalypse. What's going to kill her first? How does she manage? It's really interesting and I wish that was explored and emphasized more. The personal and quieter moments stood out to me.

Lupita Nyong'o is fantastic as expected. Joseph Quinn surprised me. He definitely has acting chops.
