Learic Life’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s too bad this completely falls apart in the last two acts because it really did have a decent set-up. The 80’s homage really works with establishing atmosphere, and the characters are distinct, so initially I was onboard for whatever was about to happen. Unfortunately, once we get to the central part of the plot, the tone of the movie just goes off the rails and it becomes unbearably over-the-top. It just seems the director didn’t have a confident sense of control in how to handle certain scenes. There’s a lot of unnecessary screaming that became very hard to take. It really took me out of the movie, and if this was still the Movie Pass era, I might’ve considered walking out.
