Learic Life’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dark, grim, methodically paced, highly-effective psychological thriller/horror flick is deeply unsettling. Anchored by its confident direction, bleak-looking cinematography, and standout performances from Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt, and Blair Underwood. There’s a mysticism surrounding the nature of what is causing people to kill their loved ones, and whether or not Cage is a conjurer of demonic possession. The whole thing is effectively ambiguous, and subsequently even more haunting. Can’t wait to revisit this to catch even more details I might have missed the first time.
