Hello! 👋 Welcome to my page.
Four favorites are my Top 4 first watches from the previous month.
"Things happen in life which we don't understand at first, but which are important and change us. A tracking shot is style, but style is a moral question. I remember a tracking shot by Nicholas Ray....I'm just a bore who rattles off lists of films, and tonight you need to be alone."
Wonderfully soapy melodrama. I knew literally nothing going in and those watches are always so fun to see what surprises await.
"My father always wanted a boy! He'd know how to drive this thing!!"
😑
A movie bold enough to ask: what if you took Raiders of the Lost Ark but had more cultural insensitivities and Marion Ravenwood sucked? Now, I'm sure you're thinking, "Leah, isn't that just Temple of Doom?" To which I'd respond "Correct! And! Also, this mess!"
I literally have no sense what year this movie was set in. The 1930s? 1950s?? President day 1980s when it was…
"I think we could pull in this."
"Definitely."
"Pub?"
I adore that, yes, Poppy is bubbles and light wherever she goes, but there is a depth of emotion to her. She sees pain around her and takes time to absorb it. There isn't just glossing over things but pausing to breathe through it.
Scott 100% got into QAnon during lockdown.
