Typically the first wide release of the year that drops when January is still in single digits is absolute trash. Relatively speaking, this is not as bad as most in that slot. The casting is terrific, there are some great faces in this who look ragged and taut and whipped by the brutal cold.

The story itself is generic, painfully generic, but the way in which the story is told is interesting enough.
