For my sensibilities, Pete Holmes is the perfect stand-up. He crafts his material masterfully. He's sensitive and compassionate, yet edgy, but not edgy to the point of being jaded. He exudes an irreverent exuberance similar to Brian Regan. He's intelligent and thought-provoking, and is able to work in his natural goofiness to buffer his transitions. He may not be as prolific as some of the greats because he dedicates so much of his time to his family and other comedic ventures, but his performance quality is second to none.

I actually watched this special for a 2nd time in less than a week as a comfort watch while my girlfriend tattooed my butt last night. Pete Holmes, my hat's off to you Weirdo.
