Pride & Prejudice 2005
I have always hated this version. So stale and boring. Its all cinematography and lighting with no heart or romance. The actors have zero chemistry. I appreciate the realness they were trying to bring, but these arent the attractive characters you imagined while reading the book. They fug! Sorry not sorry. Especially Mr Darcy, ick!
At least Firths version was push and pull, a does he doesn't he situation. There was tension. He was mysterious and broody. He was attractive.…

Idk I thought it'd be sexier, but it's mostly just people showing off their butt's while wearing plastic.

A Different Man 2024
Psychological horror or a man’s battle with himself? Maybe both. The lines blur, much like his grip on reality, moody and unforgettably strange. Love that it was filmed on 16mm. It feels gritty, nostalgic, and real.

The French Dispatch 2021
A Wes Anderson newspaper anthology that tries so hard to be artistic and quirky yet had nothing to say, yawn. Other than the casting and camera technique I was bored af. Its beautiful to look at, but lacks depth and cohesion. The constant black and white to color and the reverse subtitles was annoying and confusing. The sexual in your face dialogue was off putting. I like Wes Anderson, but now I can only surmise that he enjoys the smell of his own farts.

Thir13en Ghosts 2001
Is it a good movie? No.
Is it scary? No.
Is the script and story well done? Also no.
But is it fun? Yes actually... Movies like this will never not remind me of blockbuster and slumber parties. Monk was an odd casting choice, but Lillard made it OK. And its definitely an interesting take on a haunted house movie.
