Lee Romero’s review published on Letterboxd:
Moana 2 brings beautiful visuals and some fun new characters, like Moana’s sister, but it lacks the magic and novelty that made the original so special. The sense of wonder and unique storytelling feels replaced by a formulaic approach, leaving the movie to come across more as a Disney cash grab. While it’s still entertaining enough to satisfy fans and likely do well at the box office, it doesn’t evoke the same excitement as the first film.
