“Glass?! Who gives a fuck about glass?!”
A perfectly constructed movie. The big action set pieces are awesome, of course, but it’s the smaller, easily missed bits that I love the most: tiny moments like Ellis’ comment about Holly’s watch that later almost gets her killed, McClane blowing off the chief’s complaint about flying glass, the peppering of Christmas tunes like “Let it Snow” in Michael Karen’s terrific score, Karl handing Theo a twenty after losing their bet on whether Takagi will give up the passcode for the vault. The continual setups and playoffs in the story and dialogue are just wonderful; one of the best action screenplays, and movies, ever.
