Last Shift (2014) is a movie I recently watched on Tubi. The storyline follows a new female police officer that's first assignment is covering the phones of an empty police station it's last night before the station closes in the morning. She starts getting weird calls and seeing odd things but tries to maintain her sanity in hopes of proving herself to her new team. As the night progresses things get stranger and more intense...
This movie is directed by Anthony DiBlasi (Most Likely to Die) and stars Juliana Harkavy (Arrow), Joshua Mikel (Game Night), J. LaRose (Ray Donovan), Sarah Sculco (Exhume) and Natalie Victoria (Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End).
The homeless opening was definitely a good start to this movie. This reminded me of Assault on Precinct 13 with demons instead of a gang. The masks, makeup and special effects in this are very good. The horror elements are clever and well executed with some solid jump scares. This film has solid character development with great backstories and a tremendous conclusion.
Overall this movie was way better than I thought it would be. I would score this a 7.5/10 and strongly recommend it.
