Philip Marlowe returns, though wholly different this time. He’s no Bogie and there’s no Bacall to save him. The ‘70s don’t seem to fit him. A murkier time now, Marlowe, labelled “a ding-a-ling”, tries to find a way through.

Gould aces it. 

“It’s OK with me.”
