To the Ends of the Earth

To the Ends of the Earth

It took like 3 sittings to get through and this was a chore. I'm all for minimalistic character studies with subtle filmmaking, but this film's focus and structure felt very meandering, which I understand it to be the point but it was handled poorly. The best scenes involved them shooting for their TV show, and watching the main character turn her persona on and off as really engaging to watch. Atsuko Maeda gives a wonderful performance.
