Frustratingly average. Lady Gaga is fantastic here, and her chemistry with Adam Driver is its strongest element. But the film has no sense of pacing or intrigue and things sort of just happen and it feels like complete scenes were just forgotten because characters make such bizarre choices that don’t add up. This needed to be more ham, but it took the safe, boring, true story route. Also fuck Jared Leto you Mario sounding motherfucker.
