Finally cracked open my Enter the Video Store boxset from Arrow Video. Some nice Empire Pictures trash. Not the best but cool concept, perfect runtime, some solid practical effects and an appearance from Jeffery Combs. If the ending had been stronger this might have been a stand out in the Charles Band produced features
First time watching this in full since seeing in theaters. This really is a remarkable film. High on the list of most competent feature length debuts. Deeply haunting and for a movie that at its core is just a satanic cult film it’s exceptionally well written, extremely heavy and full of drama & grief. Toni Collette truly is on another level
