    Sorry, Baby

A tremendous directorial debut from Eva Victor (also writer and star). Simultaneously devastating and optimistic in its smallest moments. This isn't about the big "tentpole" events but everything in between when the majority of life is happening. Can't wait for this to get in front of more eyes, and to see where Eva Victor goes from here.

Absolutely killer coming-of-age story. Beautifully shot, and Dolores Oliverio as Nati in her debut(!!!) performance steals the show. This checks so many of my boxes, I loved it. Hoping it gets wide distribution so many others can see it too.

"You won't even remember that you're dying."

I Saw The TV Glow is easily my favorite movie of the year and incredibly important to me. There's not an easy way to review this positively without being almost too honest and vulnerable, so this is probably the only time I'll do this.

This was my first rewatch since seeing it at the West Coast premiere in April, and somehow it was more brutal and difficult. I wanted to rewatch this ever…

I think a lot about how labor and commodification is portrayed here. A housekeeper, a tow truck driver, a restaurant host, a sex worker, everything in between. The ripple effect of one rich and powerful person's actions and how it leaves everyone else at each other's throats. I don't have the words to articulate all this better but you get it.

This was my fifth viewing and I was still glued to every frame. The wedding montage makes me feel like I'm levitating. What a picture.
