Easily one of the best films of 2024. Every single cast member delivered, but Mikey Madison as Ani completely stood out for me. Her performance was just phenomenal—she made everything feel so natural, and it was impossible to take my eyes off her. Watching her felt like being in awe of how much she brought Ani to life.
The cinematography was insane, and the camerawork captured the chaotic energy of the film perfectly—and I’m not even complaining. The moment Igor came into the picture, the whole vibe shifted, and his perspective on Ani was so engaging. Their chemistry? Absolute perfection. I was craving more Igor and Ani scenes, honestly.
I also didn’t expect it to have comedic bits, but somehow this film was hilarious while still wrecking me emotionally. It’s honestly one of those movies that just leaves you with so many emotions. If this doesn’t sweep the Oscars, especially Mikey Madison for Best Actress, I’ll riot. An absolute masterpiece.
