Jon Uptergrove’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’ve tried to convince myself multiple times over the last couple years since I’ve seen this last that this movie isn’t as good as I remember. Well tonight, I got to rewatch it at the Bullock IMAX in Austin and let me just tell you I was wrong. As many ways as you try to tell yourself that superhero movies can’t possibly be real cinema and that you only liked it because you were young, please go watch this on the biggest possible screen you can and you’ll see that younger you was totally right in your reasoning on why this is one of the best movies you’ve ever seen.
The amount of iconic scenes characters, locations, and shots in this movie is honestly insane. It goes without saying that heath ledger joker is the stand out, but Aaron Eckhart’s two-face might be my best performance in the film.
I do think in five years will be saying that Robert Pattinson is the greatest Batman of all time, but as of right now that title is still firmly in Christian‘s bakes hand. I don’t care how ridiculous you find his deep voice Batman. it works.
