Might have been a 5 if Nosferatu didn’t look like Jim Carrey in Sonic.
I’ll be honest, my enthusiasm for this film took a slight hit when it was announced Anya Taylor-Joy was being replaced but that was quickly put to rest when it was clear Robert Eggers went God mode shooting this. It always shocks me when a new movie actually looks like a movie. And it turned out Lily-Rose Depp came through anyway fully committing to the making silly faces shtick
Not nearly as fun as an 80s movie with Michael J. Fox and Joan Jett playing brother and sister in a rock band sounds.
There are some insane lines of dialogue in this one. Enjoyed it more than my rating though
If there were quarter ratings I’d easily give this 3.75 but I’m rounding up cause I absolutely loved 85% of this. It’s definitely personal bias cause there’s definitely a number of writing issues but it’s one of those cases where a movie tackles a bunch of things I love and am super interested in.
