Very few pieces of media have resulted in me simply staring at my wall for over an hour just thinking over what I’ve just seen, watched, or listened to. However Normal People is one of these pieces. It so accurately communicates and exposes the intricacies of people’s relationships in many different forms, especially when it comes to physical and emotional intimacy. The way that the sex scenes are shot are in such a passionate way that it really communicates the connection that’s involved which is so often ignored in media today. Emotionally it reveals the importance and value of communication, as well as the importance of loyalty and genuine care shown day in and day out.
