George O’Mahony’s review published on Letterboxd:
Life ain’t always empty.
An outstanding piece of work. Bafflingly great direction that perfectly leans into the chaos of the protagonist’s world, and a script overflowing with themes that leave the audience wanting more, but in the best way possible. Barry Keoghan has a boundless amount of talent, and his portrayal of a struggling father who never learned to grow up is mesmerising. I regret not seeing this at CIFF, but I’m glad I got to watch it before the year ended.
