sensational. there's so much here which shouldn't work and so many opportunities for it to tip into farce and yet it never does. it's hyper stylistic, excessively melodramatic, and has writing that sounds utterly absurd on paper. yet it all comes together to create what might be a perfect film.
i felt like there was something unique flowing through this film from start to finish. it has this tempo and energy, even compared to other similar films. it's like a whirlwind and all i could do was admire it from start to finish.
