Chico Bento e a Goiabeira Maraviosa 2024
Considering the reactions of the children who were in my session, they really liked the movie. Which is great, because the movie was made for them. Some adults also laughed at a joke or two. In my case, it didn't work so well, even though I have an emotional attachment to these characters, having grown up reading the comics. I have a little trouble accepting this universe in which adults are childish and children are smarter, in this the script…

The Killing of a Sacred Deer 2017
A film that is thrilling and intriguing from start to finish. The plot had me hooked the whole time, the entire cast was incredibly good, and it was a unique twist on the story that made it so much more interesting to watch.

Rocky Balboa 2006
(Theatrical Cut) Is Rocky back for one more time?
Thankfully, Sylvester Stallone knows what he is doing for this film. He brings back to what made the first film a success. The script is handled great. Rocky, now officially retired, owns a restaurant, commemorates his wife and visits to the locations that remind him of his memorable times with his wife. It is a fantastic reflection of dealing with loss and reflection of the past. Paulie becomes a little annoyed…

Tome of the Unknown 2013
Watching Over the Garden Wall during Halloween has become an annual tradition for me, and CW Stoneking's Gon' Boogaloo has become a favourite album of mine over the past year, so for me to not get to this short until now is wild, but that's the case.
I obviously adored it. It was like another episode of the show, only with a few minor differences that were easy to look past.

Gamera: Guardian of the Universe 1995
Next in my freshly merged physical media collection is the Heisei Gamera trilogy, a triple feature of Toho terror that doesn't involve Godzilla or King Kong or any other Kaiju that I've seen on screen before. Guardian of the Universe is a 1995 reboot of their franchise that dates back thirty years prior, and a fairly entertaining monster movie despite the instantly dated SFX and social commentary.
Kinda love how the human characters are here to be useless and speak…

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation 2015
Well, I am predicting almost all the important face/offs since I started getting a hang of it, especially cause of the 2nd MI movie.
Rogue nation wasn't better than the previous two parts but it definitely is fun, mysterious and enthralling as an MI movie should be. I'd say one thing, all the movies drastically started improving after the 2nd movie. There is no more Michelle Monaghan as Ethan Hunt's love interest, but Isla Faust strangely complementing him and is…
