Unexpectedly wholesome movie about a man falling in love with a sex doll and the entire town supporting him. Is it a red flag that I felt kinda seen by this movie?

Wow kind of speechless after this one. There's a lot to unpack. Expertly directed, simple yet elegant, with care and consideration behind every shot. I know of Bergman, but this is my first watch from his filmography. I know I really enjoyed this, but I need some time to dig through all the layers and figure out why I enjoyed this. Had maybe the worst theater-going experience of my life seeing this one. Lots of talking and phones out, but the worst was when the guy next to me literally pointed at the screen and said at normal speaking volume: "He's behind him". Yeah man, I know, I'm watching the movie too.

Some people say perfection can't be attained, those people have not seen John Carpenter's The Thing.

A sense of paranoia like no other. The concept of the creature in this creature-feature is what makes this movie so thrilling. Unlike most horror movies, the characters are actually logical and competent, in spite of that, the monster still has the advantage at every turn. The score is also excellent, it's simple but effective.

Generally I'm over horror movies as soon as the credits roll, but The Thing is one that sicks with me. Masterpiece in every sense of the word.
