The only way I could describe it to my friends was that it was simply an art film baked inside a comedy. The movie came and went in the theaters with little recognition. This was not AT ALL what I was expecting based on the brief snippet I saw before watching this film. This is the type of movie that I think Kickass (and to a much lesser extent, Kickass 2) was trying to be. I'd call it a "dark comedy" but frankly this is much more a drama than anything resembling comedy. There are jokes and gags to be had, for certain, but this is a movie with a dark, bleak soul…
