Lost Highway 1997
Rewatching this like yeah, this is the greatest movie ever. I really cant decide if this or FWWM is my favorite lynch masterpiece. I love that even my favorite “theory” for this has holes in it- I will never understand his genius!!!
The soundtrack. The transitions. The acting! The party scene is a masterclass in filmmaking and acting and writing. GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!!!!!!

This was so sexy, so hot, so much tension, oh my god the sweaty muscley bodies, the grunting, wow. Wow!!!!!! I love boys kissing boys!!!! I love hot women!!!
Beyond that though the story was so so so interesting and layered. Each time they cut back to the match you found yourself saying “oh shit, the stakes are so much higher now, i understand”. And then you said that about 4 more times.
