Interstellar

"We Used To Look Up At The Sky And Wonder At Our Place In The Stars. Now, We Just Look Down And Worry About Our Place In The Dirt."

Rewatched this masterpiece in IMAX after 5 years, just to forget everything, and it worked! I guess I forgot the first half of this film. It was probably the best cinema experience of my life! I love sci-fi and love how this film revolves around the themes of emotion, sacrifice, and survival.

Every time the theme kicked in, it made me so emotional. This scene was so well written and executed. The final sequence was so goood, Dr. Brand's 'gentle night' quote makes so much sense to me now.

One of the only problems i had with this was how no one talks about earth in the end.

I can understand why some consider it 'overrated,' but I don't really care. Matthew McConaughey’s performance was incredible— crazy how he didn’t get an Oscar nomination for it. The 23-year message scene had me weak. Hoyte van Hoytema's cinematography was beautiful, Zimmer's score was sensational and Matt Damon fucking sucks in this.

Overall a very stressful watch.
