Loved this update to Assault on Precinct 13. It’s got the vibes, it’s got the music, it’s got the vivid color palette, it’s got a great cast, and it’s got the gore. I had a ton of fun watching this. I love how it’s kinda like living in NYC during Escape from NY but what absolutely AoP13. It didn’t blow me away and I think a lot of that has to do with the familiarity of the material. But if you got some kid who won’t watch John Carpenter’s classic then slap this beast on and they’ll love it. Then they might finally watch the classic flick. 

Joe Begos has quickly become a fave. Just one more film of his to watch and then I’ll even rewatch his first film. This has been great and I love his whole style. It’s very me.
