Trenque Lauquen

Trenque Lauquen

Very pleasant short film. This is not a sequel or supplemental for the 4.5 hour film Trenque Lauquen. This is a commissioned short film where 25 filmmakers and composers just make a thing for Film Fest Gent.

This short, directed by Laura Citarella, shows the director presenting her film Trenque Lauquen to an audience of locals in the city of Trenque Lauquen. Then the director goes outside and just soaks up the city she based her film in.

It’s shots of the feature film, the audience watching it, the director hanging out and watching this beautiful city simply exist, and shots of locations used in the film outside the context of the film, and it ends with what appears to be a BTS moment from the making of the film.

It’s very soothing to watch, the music and ambience it provides just makes it smooth and calming. It’s a good short to watch after watching the film. It’s on YouTube here.
