Chris Kirby’s review published on Letterboxd:
Excellently made film adaptation of the manga of the same name. The visual style is classically impressionistic and just fully engaging to look at. Gorgeous gorgeous film. The story is very nice as it acts as a good introduction to the series. The story is where it lacked for me to really catapult this as a favorite of the year. It’s just constantly pleasant and is just about these two lead characters learning to love each other. There’s hint of a bigger story but we just don’t get to it. Which is fine. This is still a very good, super well done movie but I want more.
The film is streaming on Crunchyroll as a three episode OVA series.
