Super fun made for Showtime TV comedy film that is so patently ridiculous and unabashedly weird. There’s a ton going on here that will make your eyes roll out the back of your head but it’s done with a level of sincerity and dedication to the bit that it evens out to just being a really entertaining time. 

The whole spice fetish element is hilarious and while the paprika sex scene is what’s lauded on the ad copy by AGFA, it was the cinnamon dance scene that stole my heart. 

There’s a visual essay included on AGFA’s new BD about the trans subtext of the film and honestly that made me love it more. It’s fascinating how the concept of possessing aliens can be interpreted and utilized as trans allegory to help those with body dysphoria learn about their experiences. 

Highly recommended for a very silly good time when you aren’t looking for your next “best movie ever”. AGFA still doing the good work.
