If there is one person who always pulls artsy horror off, it's Robert Eggers! What a fantastic movie to end the year! Cinematography-wise, I was blown away: there are certain scenes, I won't spoil which ones, that belong in an art book. Add to that the gloomy, gothic atmosphere, the incredible performances and the interesting backstory of Ellen (which is apparently expanded from the original), and you have yourself an instant horror classic. Definitely a must-watch.

Definitely a fun little feel good Christmas movie! I do think the chemistry of one of the couples worked much better than the other and the latter was a bit underdeveloped, but that doesn't take away that both perspectives had some really fun and sweet moments (especially the Arthur-subplot was really interesting in my eyes). Anyway, watch it if you want some warm, fuzzy feelings in Christmastime :))

Identity theft is not a joke Tom!

Jokes aside, I definitely liked this dark psychological tale set against this idyllic Italian background. Really made for a nice contrast, and makes for an interesting watch so I recommend
