  Anora is the fourth film from Sean Baker that I watch. And even though it didn't hit the spot quite as deep as Tangerine or Florida Project, it did not disappoint me at all.

  I dare to say it is the perfect anti-fairytale film. It starts out as your standard rags to riches romance, then it decends into a chaotic, anxiety-inducing madness. And at times, it still manages to be exhilaratingly hilarious.

  nothing lasts really. neither happiness nor despair. not even life lasts very long.

  what i enjoyed most about this film is how it delves into the protagonist's conflicted feelings of love and guilty without ever judging her about the affair. we empathize with laura and her utter despair over a relationship she can't fully experience. and it's truly heartbreaking.
